Welcom Letter
Dear Colleagues,
It is our great pleasure to welcome you to the 11th international conference series on Laser-light and Interactions with Particles (LIP2016) which will be held from April 22 to 26, 2016 in Xi'an, China.
This conference series has been continually providing forums for promoting the interchange of creative ideas on the development of advanced theories and models, the latest experimental developments, as well as its state-of-the-art applications in academic and industries. Since nearly three decades for this series, this conference provides a fruitful source in light and shaped beam interactions with particle and particle systems, with topics to be continuously evolving which makes itself more and more well known in the world. Following the former Optical Particle Sizing (OPS) and Optical Particle Characterization (OPC) conferences held in Rouen 1987; Tempe, AZ, 1990; Yokohama, 1993; Nürnberg, 1995; Minneapolis, MN,1998; Brighton, 2001; Kyoto, 2004; Graz, 2007; as well as the reformulated LIP conference, held in Rouen, in 2012, and 2014 in Marseille.
LIP2016 will be a great conference for sharing the state-of-the-art research and scientific exchange on laser-beams and interactions with particles and particle systems (Main topics are listed below in detail !), as well as to experience the unique environment of Xi'an, a city which is a very beautiful ancient city with a history of more than 3000 years. As one of the four highly civilized ancient capitals of the world, Xi'an has various tourist attractions and is an ideal place for a relaxed and professionally rewarding exchange of technical ideas and deliberations.
We thank you for your participation and look forward to seeing you in Xi'an, China.
Sincerely,
Local Organizing Committee, LIP2016
